Erster Eindruck - Hochwertige Stoffe & Liebe zum Detail
Was uns schon beim Aufbau ins Auge gefallen ist, ist die hochwertige Verarbeitung der Stoffe und Materialien des Wagens.
Hier merkt man direkt, dass es sich bei dem Kombi-Kinderwagen um die etwas hochwertigere & hochpreisige „Diamond Edition“ von ABC Design handelt.
Der Schieber am Gestell, der Schutzbügel am Sportsitz sowie der Griff an der Babywanne sind mit braunem PU Leder mit einer schönen, detaillierten Ziernaht ummantelt.
Was den Wagen im Vergleich zu anderen Modellen allerdings auch ein wenig schwerer macht.
Babywanne - Weiche & dicke Matratze
Ab der Geburt bis 9 Monate verwendbar: Die Babywanne des ABC Salsa 4 Air
In der gepolsterten Babywanne hat Dein kleiner Schatz ab Geburt und bis ca. 9 Monaten Platz.
Was wir besonders hervorheben möchten ist, dass die Matratze schön weich gepolstert und besonders dick ist.
Im Kopfbereich ist die Matratze sogar 5 cm hoch, im Beinbereich sind es 3 cm.
Auch der Matratzenbezug ist aus weichem, waschbaren Material gefertigt.
Außerdem hat der Matratzen-Schaumstoff Luftlöcher, die für eine angenehme Luftzirkulation im Wanneninneren sorgen.
Das ist insbesondere an heißen Sommertagen wichtig.
So kommt Dein kleiner Sonnenschein sicher nicht ins Schwitzen und das Wanneninnere bleibt trocken.
Hinzu kommt, dass am Wannenboden auch Belüftungslöcher sind, die die Luftzirkulation innerhalb der Wanne begünstigen.
Das Sonnenverdeck der Babywanne mit UV-Schutz 50+ lässt sich sogar weiter nach vorne ziehen, als bei anderen Babywannen.
Zudem hat es noch ein Sicht-und Belüftungsnetz.
NEU: Bei den Wagen der jüngsten Kollektion ist ein zusätzliches, praktisches Feature inklusive: Du kannst das Kopfende der Wanne leicht in der Neigung verstellen.
Der Verstellhebel ist leicht erreichbar - ein Griff unter die Wanne genügt.
Die Babywanne ist besonders komfortabel und kann auch für overnight sleeping genutzt werden.
Sportsitz ABC Salsa 4 Air - geräumig & bequem
Sobald Dein kleiner Schatz selbstständig sitzen kann (ab ca. 6 Monaten), kannst Du von der Babywanne zum geräumigen Sportsitz wechseln.
Der robuste Wagen hält ein Gesamtgewicht von 25 kg aus.
Das heißt, zu einem Maximalgewicht von 22 kg für Dein Kind kommen noch 3 kg, die Du im Einkaufkorb transportieren kannst.
Dein kleiner Schatz hat im Sportwagen viel Platz und sitzt weich gepolstert im Wagen, während ihr draußen die Gegend erkundet.
Der Sportsitz lässt sich sowohl vorwärts- als auch rückwärts gerichtet an das Gestell „klicken“.
Der Sitz, samt Fußstütze, kann mehrfach bis in die gemütliche Liegeposition gestellt werden.
So kann Dein kleiner Schatz während eures Ausflugs ein Nickerchen machen und unter dem großen Sonnenverdeck friedlich vor sich hin träumen.
Gut gefallen hat uns, dass das Sportwagenverdeck des ABC Salsa 4 Air sehr weit nach vorne gezogen werden kann.
So wird Dein kleiner Schatz ganz sicher nicht von der Sonne geblendet und Du kannst bei jedem Wetter draußen eine Spritztour machen.
Ein Sicht- und Belüftungsnetz hat das Verdeck auch und natürlich den UV-Schutz 50+.

So fährt sich der ABC Salsa 4 Air
Das Gestell des Wagens besteht aus robustem und glänzendem Chrom.
Das Gestell samt Babywanne wiegt ca. 14 kg.
Gestell und Sportsitz wiegen zusammen ca. 15 kg.
Der Schieber lässt sich zwischen 100 cm und 109 cm in der Höhe verstellen.
Die großen Lufträder hinten und vorne sind gut gefedert und dämpfen beim Fahren ruckartige Bewegungen gut ab.
Was den Wagen ideal zum Fahren auf Waldwegen und unebenen Landstraßen macht.
Aber natürlich ist der schicke Wagen auch beim Shoppingausflug in der City ein absoluter Blickfang.
Die Vorderräder kannst Du wahlweise feststellen - je nachdem ob Du in kurvigem Gelände oder auf geraden Strecken unterwegs bist.
Tipp: Achte darauf, den Wagen regelmäßig zu Warten (Reifen regelmäßig aufpumpen), falls Du doch mal einen platten Reifen haben solltest.
Die Fußbremse ist seitlich des Gestells am rechten Hinterreifen befestigt.
Dadurch hast du beim Fahren viel mehr Beinfreiheit.
Ideal für große Eltern.
Viel Platz im Einkaufskorb
Extra Pluspunkte bekommt der geräumige Einkaufskorb des ABC Salsa 4 Air Kombi-Kinderwagens von uns.
Der Korb ist leicht zugänglich es passt sehr viel rein.
Perfekt ausgerüstet für größere Einkäufe, Spielsachen und Co.
Das Gestell lässt sich problemlos zu einem kompakten Paket zusammenklappen.
Das funktioniert übrigens auch, ohne dass Du den Sportsitz vorher abnehmen musst - und zwar egal, in welche Richtung Du ihn aufgesetzt hast.
Um mehr Platz bzw. Stauraum zu haben, kannst du vor dem Zusammenklappen die Räder vom Gestell entfernen.
Der ABC Design Salsa 4 Air kann von Geburt an mit der Babywanne oder dem komplett flachen Sportsitz verwendet werden.
Die pram is incredibly straightforward to fold.
To collapse, you simply pull two small levers, located just below the handle on the left and right bars, and the whole base unit folds down inwards and clips together.
Handily, the two back wheels can also be removed if you're short on boot space in your car.
The pram is surprisingly compact when folded (measuring L80.5 x W63 x H28cm).
The ABC Design Salsa 4 Air’s steering is one of its best features, particularly as the pram can be pushed and steered one-handed.
The suspension has a generous bounce thanks to the ball bearings on the wheels.
This was also one of MFM tester Samatha's favourite features, "The suspension is great on uneven pavements and it’s easy to push!"
Rougher terrains such as woodlands or muddy paths are no challenge for this pram either thanks to its pneumatic air filled tyres, which can take lots of bumps and jolts without making the pushchair feel shaky.
What are the brakes like? I tested the pram on small inclines and hills - and the brakes worked faultlessly.
What is the basket like? The basket is easy to store things in and is pleasantly roomy - I was able to stow away my changing bag, along with a bag of shopping.
One thing to note, is that there’s a silver bar which cuts through the middle of the basket, which does limit the size of the objects you can place in it.
Unser Fazit
Uns hat der ABC Salsa 4 Air aus der „Diamond Edition“ als qualitativ hochwertiger Kombi-Kinderwagen überzeugt.
Er hat seinen Platz in unserer großen Kinderwagen-Bestenliste zurecht verdient.
Du kannst den geräumigen Wagen ab der Geburt und bis zu ca. 3 Jahren (25 kg) nutzen.
Optisch hat uns das edle und zeitlose Design des Wagens gefallen.
Die Stoffe und Materialien zeugen von äußerst guter Qualität, zudem ist das Obermaterial auch wasserfest.
Durch seine großen Lufträder eignet sich der ABC Salsa 4 Air ideal für Ausflüge im Gelände und auf dem Land.
Durch sein Design ist der Wagen aber auch in der City ein Blickfang.

Would you recommend this to other mums? Sarah: The salsa is a lovely stylish buggy.
It is well made and very sturdy.
My toddler loved sitting in it and she wouldn’t get out!
It also comes with a lot of everyday accessories that most other buggies don’t come with like a cup holder, bumper bar, rain cover, mosquito net and car seat adaptors.
These in themselves save not only money but also time.
It is also good when on rough terrain.
The suspension in the frame gave my toddler a smoother ride.
It also has a really big deep basket under the seat.
Channing: I would recommend this product to a fellow friend/mum if they were looking for a beautiful looking pram that comes as a travel system and is easily accessible to put up and down.
The design is very practical and caters for everyone.
An added bonus is that it can be folded down in two steps which is great if you are in a rush or by yourself.
Aurelie: I would recommend this product as the basket is a very good size.
The design is good and the foldability is easy.
The hygiene is perfect as you can easily clean it by undoing the pram and wiping it down.
The comfort is very good with the three different levels of seating.
Cate: I really liked the big basket underneath.
It meant I could but a big backpack under the seat as well as a ball when we went out for an activity.
It also meant there was plenty of space for shopping which I found particularly useful.
The fact that I could extend the handle made it more comfortable to push as I could push in an upright position.
Hayley: The Salsa 4 has some great features to make life easier.
It is very small and compact when folded.
It has world and parent-facing options as well as good sturdy wheel suspension.
The wheels are easily removed for storage or when fitting it in a small car boot.
The basket underneath is spacious and very roomy.
This pushchair had all of the required and desired features for busy mums on the go!
Rebecca: I loved being able to fit my bag and all my shopping into the basket while my baby is sleeping or awake.
It protects my little one from the sun/rain and it is really easy to manoeuvre.
It makes it easy to go out and about whether on public transport, walking, or in the car.
It is also comfortable to push with nice soft handles.
Sandra: If I could turn back time, I would definitely use this from newborn with my girl.
I think this product stands out as it is so light to carry.
The fabric and cushion are such good quality.
My little girl does not look squashed and she is plenty of room to move.
I like how high up she sits in this pram.
The handle is great for people who are tall.

There's nothing bad I can think to say about it.
It's perfect from baby up to toddler with use of the Moses basket for babies.

You can take the baby changing bag plus a big bag of food.
It is just a perfect pushchair.
Charlotte: I would choose this product because it included everything that you need to ensure your baby is safe and comfortable from birth up to their toddler years.
The different components were easy to switch on and off plus the travel system and design were well thought out.
I particularly liked the big wheels as we do a lot of walking.
Rachael: I think the one thing that would improve this is how it folds.
It was not very intuitive.
We had to look at the instruction manual and even then it was hard to work out what to do.
In a similar vein, the pushchair seat was easy to recline but very hard to return to a sitting position.
It seemed as though you needed three hands to tilt the chair back up.
Sarah: I would include the option for an Isofix base for the car seat.
It'ss much more secure and also much easier for mums to lift the car seat in and out without having to faff around with seatbelt.
I am surprised car seats are still made without the option of an Isofix base.
It is a shame as I liked the design of the system aside from that.
Ashleigh: I would change the feel of the product.
The handlebar felt cheap.
I would want the product to feel more high-end for the money that you are spending on it.
It would need to sell itself more on the luxury end for the price.
